A message from our Board of Directors regarding our 'Open' Status during Covid 19.
We are still manufacturing and delivering goods because our customers are asking us to.
Our retail shops have been closed since the 24th March and staff furloughed in strict accordance with Scottish Government advice.
A number of staff have taken advantage of the two weeks COVID SSP, some are isolating and others have been furloughed.
All of our staff who can work from home are doing so - clearly this does not relate to Production Staff who can only work on site or others supporting everyone else so they can work remotely.
Those few working on site are practicing maximum social distancing. More than they would be capable of at home. We are capable of working in a way which is fully consistent with established social distancing advice.
"Home" shops are expressly excluded from closure. Our shops were home shops. Notwithstanding we have closed them. Our customers in the main at the moment are online consumers or "Home" shops and largely online retailers who the government has expressly encouraged to continue to support those who are at home.
In addition to all of the above we are re-purposing the Factory to produce hand sanitisers, imminently. It is accepted there is a shortage of supply of such products therefore we will do what we can to help.
We can therefore say with confidence we are following the advice in all areas, to the maximum, that you would expect any responsible business to do.
