At Shearer Candles we like to follow the colour trends that we see on the run way, high street, glossy fashion and home magazines. Although our research was done back in 2011 when we were creating our 2012 Spring and Summer collections we thought we would now share with you our thoughts, ideas and aspirations when looking at trends and creating our own designs. Whats hot!
Bright pastels can be seen everywhere right now – in shoes, jeans, belts, scarves and clothing. And with most fashion trends they spill over into our homes. We like to follow our fashion trends through our soft furnishings like cushions and throws, bedding and pictures, and the easiest of all colour accessories - candles! Have a look at our Spring Couture Candle Collection and you will see these colours incorporated into this wonderfully popular, signature range. Pinks, blues, greens, yellows, purplesand whites; each colour, carefully considered to match most home colour schemes one way or another. We have kept the wax white which allows even more freedom when placing in the home – we pride ourselves on offering candles to fit any room or occasion whatever the colour, fragrance or size.
We also saw alot of fun when researching our colours. Bright pastels make us think of childhood sweeties, parties, colourful macaroons and cake. Our Spring Couture candle jars are perfect for recreating this mood as are our food tins – The Delice Aroma range with quirky fragrances like strawberry milkshake and tropical smoothie. For those of you with more reserved tastes our soy wax jars are ideal – with just a hint of pastel colour on the natural twine packaging.
Print was also another major colour and fashion trend that we looked at for 2012. We love print at Shearer Candles so we added it to our Spring Couture Collection packaging. Floral prints can be seen on the pillars, diffusers, tea lights and gift box packing making each fragrance attractive, fashionable and an extremely desirable gift this season.
We also wanted to add a little glitz and glamour to our ranges this 2012. We love silver and gold at Shearer Candles; silver for Spring and gold for Winter. So we introduced a silver mirror fragrance jar candle – with a choice of 6 fragrances. Mirror finishes are so popular in home furnishing – you see them in tables, photo frames, jewellery boxes so we thought a candle would fit right in. They add sparkle to tables and mantles and exude luxury – a really on trend gift.
We have already researched, chosen and designed our Winter colour pallet and we will be sure to share our ideas with you later in the year. Watch out for our collection launches in September 2012 and blogs to follow thereafter. Happy trending your home.
