#scentinthecity Blogger Event

Fizz anfd Goody Bag History Talk

The candles were lit, the Prosecco was chilling and the smoked salmon nibbles were ready to be scoffed… it could mean only one thing, the very first Shearer Candles #Scentinthecity bloggers event was about to begin!

Here at Shearer we’re avid blog readers and have long admired the lifestyle, beauty and fashion posts written by a gaggle of bright young things whose fabulous blogs have entertained and inspired us.

So we were excited to invite some of our favourite bloggers to our first #Scentinthecity event where we could showcase our spring and summer collection and also give a sneak peak behind the scenes in our busy factory- where the real Shearer magic happens.

The evening began in our newly expanded candle store with Rosey, our Artistic Director, telling the fascinating history of our company, engrossing our guests with our fabulous celebrity encounters and explaining what makes our candles so special, clue – it involves high quality ingredients, great experience and lots of passion!

From here it was on to the factory where the bloggers, all self-confessed candle lovers, were keen to see the production line and find out what goes on behind the very prettily decorated scenes. The lovely Lee also let them try their hand at making their very own scented candle.

Finally it was back to the candle store for a fizzy top up, more nibbles, some chat and a chance to pick some favourites from the shelves, from Watermelon to Persian Lime ( George Michael’s favourite) and Egyptian Cotton,– it was a tricky decision!

Gift bags dispensed and kisses all round it was time to disappear into the night and get those candles lit.

We can’t wait for the next #Scentinthecity event already!

A special thanks to our bloggers:
