Our Candles

We combine traditional expertise and knowledge with state-of-the-art technology at our factory in Glasgow. We dip, mould, press, roll, and fill the highest-quality wax around pure-cotton wicks to make a huge variety of candles of different shapes, sizes, colours and fragrances.

Scented Candles

All of our scented candles are made with the purest of scents and the variety of original fragrances and scent combinations we offer is unrivalled. Highland Collection

The Highland Collection reflects the traditional values of our family-run business as well as the contemporary essence of Scotland. The Ae Fond Kiss and Red Red Rose ranges are scented candles that are capable of transporting you to the beauty of the heather-covered Highlands and the heady lull of a rose-drenched evening. The Highland Collection ranges are beautifully packaged in specially-created tartans and make ideal gifts.

Soy Wax Candles

Shearer Candles’ Natural Soy Wax collection, a favourite among environmentalists, is hand-made from 100% soy wax and presented in recycled glass jars as well as ivory pillars. These long-lasting candles are available in Orange & Geranium, Lavender & Lime, Rosemary & Mint and Sandalwood Spice scents.

Dining Candles

There’s no substitute for the intimate atmosphere created by a dinner table set with candles casting their flickering light around the room. At Shearer Candles we have developed a range of hand-made rustic candles, sold in bundles in a variety of colours from Jade to Peppermint, Ice Blue and Burgundy. We also recommend elegant taper candles, traditionally used in chandeliers, in Red and Gold for extra special occasions. Our Dining Candles are drip-free, smoke-free and long-burning.

Church Candles

Shearer Candles was founded in 1897 and supplied votive candles to churches from the day the company opened for business. We have preserved this knowledge and expertise down through the generations and traditional votive candles remain an important part of our business. Our votive candles are timeless and long-burning and are available as beeswax tealights, beeswax pillar candles, classic taper candles and pillar candles that can burn for up to 90 hours.
